As a student, you can show off your talents.
As a firm you can headhunt the person you need. If you are an employer in need of a young and bold mind, with new thoughts of invention and innovation, this is the place you might find what you are seeking.
About
For students, Made in School consists of 3 major functions or places if you like.
The most important function is the portfolio meaning your own profile with projects and cv, that can be tailored with varied project content as each user prefers, from sketches to finished works, from homemade to school duties.
The second function is the forum. This is used for a direct communication between the users - for sharing information and asking for help. In the forum the topic categories are Help, Tools, School and In other news, and every user is able to create a forum debate within these 4 topics. The forum is the place for giving and receiving.
The third function is the blog. The blog is present on the personal profile, and it is offerering the exact same things as if you had created a blog of your own, except here you also share the pictures you blog about with all the other members of Made in School, as it is published simultaneously on the joint blog. Thereby the joint blog becomes and ever-evolving and interesting moodboard of inspiration you may not have found yourself.
These 3 places for students gives diversity and shows what creative students are made of.
It opens up doors into schools and minds that are not always easily entered or understood.
If your everyday studies are centered around creative projects and you love to share and be inspired (instead of covering your sketches and keeping your ideas as secrets) - then join us at Made in School - we would love to share our knowledge and projects with you.
Furthermore, if you are searching for internships or jobs in the creative business - or simply wants to be represented when you in the future needs to find a job in the creative world - Made in School will soon be the most important place in which corporations will look for their new creative asset.
In here, you can build your portfolio day by day or from project to project. It can be projects you ‘ve made in school and it can be projects of your own. There are no other rules than that you have to be enrolled in one of the schools mentioned further down.
You have total control over which projects you would like to represent you as a student soon-to-be-thrown-out-in-the- real-world, and you can start making this portfolio as soon as the first day of school.
Made in School is thereby both a place of sharing your inspiration and experiences from processes and solutions from creative works with students from either your own institution or other creative institutions in Denmark - and it is a place where you get used to present your works, either the real polished projects or the messy spontaneous sketches.
You yourself choose how you want to use it.
Most importantly: the more, the merrier.
This is already a popular site, and has gained attention from both the media and the businessworld in Denmark
- and it can be a place of possibilities -YOUR possibilities - growth and experience! And last but not least; important collegial acquaintances.
Students from the following schools are invited to be part of Made in School, thereby we include students from all over Denmark and from all kinds of creative fields.

A long time ago, in the cold and dark ice winter of 2010, four poor and skinny design students sat close together, shivering of cold with icicles hanging from their fashionable haircuts, trying to keep warm in the soothing light from a Macbook Pro. While rubbing their hands together in effort to get a little warmer it happened so that one of the poor and skinny design students clicked on the Macbook Pro so that it revealed one of the design projects he had developed himself. An immediate shock wave was sent through the three other skinny design students. This was new. They all felt a muture happiness, and a flood of warmth overwhelmed them while looking through this strangers projects, his considerations and decisions, his choices and his neglections in the process. This shared experience reminded them a little bit about the presentations they had all gone through in school, only this time the experience was so fresh and enlightening, because this was a project that they wouldn’t else meet in their everyday at school or even in their spare time, unless they had gone to the same class. This was a highly relevant project that they met almost coincidentally.
As if they had not searched, but still found.
The projects they saw consisted of experience that was brand new knowledge to the other three skinny design students. Suddenly they felt it! This uncontrollable notion: Their brains started growing! Their imagination was enriched! Their horizon broadened and over the horizon a rainbow colored sun was shining, and it radiated with galloping unicorns and pink elephants!
They took an oath that they would do their best to pass this experience of sharing along - this adventurous travel through another persons imagination and ideas. And they would share this with all people who could benefit from it creatively, no matter what media or field the creativity would stream through. All creative creatures were invited to the digital arc; architects, designers, artists, movie makers and they were all student and in the middle of the shaping of their of life path. There was a terrible amount of hard work for the four poor and skinny design students, in fact they worked for free - PRO BONO!!! - for over six moons and they were never shivering of cold again, due to the hardship of the work. In addition they got wrinkles and developed a mild version of schizophrenia to be able to cope with the many tasks and responsibilities they managed during the start up period. These personalities you can meet in another chapter. And that is how Made in School came to life in the beautiful spring of 2011.
You might have heard about Made in School before, and wondered where it suddenly came from.
Until now, when visiting the site there was no trace of this anywhere.
The requests on knowing who the initiative-takers are have grown to a size we cannot ignore. We do not wish t keep our identities a secret - on the contrary - our main philosophy is that everything there is to know about Made in School should be kept open and accessible to everyone using the site.
It is both openmindedness in the user mentality that we strive to establish, but also a concrete openness maintained within all the functions on the site. We even wish to make all the coding accessible, so you are able to imitate it on your own website for example.
We see this openness as a possibility to make a better chance for the individual person to build a platform from where he or she could communicate with other creatives, clients or future employers. The mold for a seeding career even.
Last but not least, we are indeed very open about who we, the founders, are.
The reason we chose to go in the background as personalities is exactly the idea that the users and their projects should be in the center of it all. This site is made for them and their fantastic inspiring projects!
It is just as much them that can be held as accountants for the realization of this site and initiative. They are indeed the everyday makers of this place.
However, a lot of curious minds have asked us to reveal ourselves. Tadaaa, here we are:

Except for the roles as founders of the concept as it is today, we have filled out every thinkable role in the building and realization of the initiative. In that sense we are the daily construction workers on the site and all the shizzle connected to it.
This goes as far as from developing and designing the whole site, programming the whole thing, evaluating the content and how our testers used it, to considering the mentality that we wanted to a in this type of meeting place and place of publishing personal works.
We have both overcome responsibilities as public relations and advertising - making people find out that it exists, thinking through the strategy on how to approach the complex procedure of making while testing while concluding at the same time, managing the logistics and the economics - even handling all the boring secretairyly work. We haven’t outsourced anything but the role of the server space.
All of these tasks we have divided between the four of us - that way we have gone from 4 to 18 employees. Beside the founders, these other 13 personalities embody a rather strange staff.
Please meet Pierre, Vincent, Connie, Carl, Mads Emil, Tulle, Henning, Svetlana, Paulo, Ove, Gabriela, Gerd and Chuck.
